Camaronal Beach
Location
Located in Guanacaste, Nicoya Peninsula, between Playa Carrillo and Playa Bejuco. It stretches from the River to Pray Punta Islita.
Description
Grey sand Beach and dark blue waters, three kilometres long. It is uninhabited, but there are intentions to build some resorts in the area. In 1994 it was declared National Wildlife Refuge. Kemp's Ridley and Green turtles nesting site. Its waves, between moderate and strong, make it an ideal site for surfers. It is also suitable for fishing, and camping. It has abundant vegetation, mainly at the mouth of the river, which dominates the mangrove vegetation.
