Nosara Beach

Dark gray sand beach and blue sea, approximately 3 kilometres long, with abundant flora and fauna, and moderate to strong waves. Due its natural wealth and its scenic beauty is ideal for ecotourism. Part of Ostional National Wildlife Refuge, established to protect the spawning of the Kemp's Ridley turtle. Towards the south the cliffs give a great imposing landscape. It also has the mouth of the Rio Nosara, which can be explored by kayak or small boats, and along of it is the Biological Reserve Nosara, which is a private reserve. The town has an airstrip for small-scale aircraft. His tourism development is moderate, has hotels, lodges, cabins and camping areas. It is recommended four-wheel drive vehicle if you want to drive to the beach, or you could walk from the village.
