Location

Located in Guanacaste, Peninsula de Nicoya, Nandayure

Description

Light brown sand beach and blue sea, moderate to strong waves, with lush vegetation in its 3 miles of coastline and abundant wildlife. It is place for nesting sea turtles such as Kemp's Ridley turtle, Green turtle and Leatherback turtle, mainly in the season from July to December. At its southern end an imposing creek separate it from Coyote Beach. Despite its beauty, San Miguel Beach is little visited, ideal for those tourists looking to spend a quiet holiday, either staying in a hotel, cabins or camping under the stars. The small village is located near the beach, with restaurants, pulp and some booths. San Miguel, like its neighbouring beaches Bejuco and Coyote, have some points ideal for surfing. Some sections of the ramp are in poor condition, which recommends a four-wheel drive vehicle.
