Parque Nacional Braulio Carrillo
This area is located in an area of more uneven topography of the country. The landscape is made up of high mountains densely forested and countless rivers. It is said that it is the lung of Costa Rica for the important role it plays in providing oxygen to the inhabitants of both sides. It's located only 24 miles from San Jose and has a wide variety of native birds of Costa Rica.

There are several gaps of volcanic origin, Laguna Barva is the most outstanding and can be reached by several of the trails of the park.

It contains several volcanoes off, including the Barva with several craters, its lagoon is circular, about 70 meters in diameter and clear water.

Los Cerros las Tres Marias, can be seen clearly from San Jose.

The park has an information centre, exhibition hall, lunch area, sanitation, lookouts, trails and camping area properly marked.

The camping area is located behind the house ranger Volcano Barva, in a green area with a capacity of 10 stores and up to 40 people. There are washroom, showers, sinks, tables and non-potable water.
