Parque Nacional Tortuguero

It is one of the tourist destinies echo but popular in Costa Rica, the channels, rivers, beaches and lakes of the National Park Tortuguero are frequently used in studies of the biodiversity of the rainy tropical forest and marine Biology.

This vast space of rainy tropical forest connected with the Indian reserve Maize and Bar of the Colorado has the area of 80,000 hectareas of vegetation without civilization cuts. Trees of 90 meters of height and one flora and exotic and incomparable as far as wealth and biodiversida fauna.

Also it is the important area but of all western half of the Caribbean, for the egg-laying of the green turtle. Other species of marine turtles that also lay eggs in the beach are the turtle baula and the sea turtle.
